State of Education in Jigawa State

Jigawa State is ready to remodel its public education. The government is focused on transforming the pupils from a state of “learning deprivation” to proficient learners. Currently, 9 in 10 pupils in Primary 1- Primary 6 do not achieve foundational literacy and 8 in 10 pupils in Primary 6 cannot perform basic arithmetic tasks. But this scenario can be changed swiftly.
